# MinkMap Documentation

> Change your iPhone or iPad's location from any browser. Works with every single app on your device including, Snapchat, Find My, Life360, Instagram and more.

MinkMap lets you change your iOS device's location to anywhere on Earth — directly from your browser. Connect via USB once, then go wireless. No jailbreak required.

## How it works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create an account">
    Sign up at [minkmap.com](https://minkmap.com) and choose a plan.

  <Step title="Install the helper app">
    Download and run the MinkMap Helper for [Mac](https://downloads.minkmap.com/mac/MinkMapHelper.zip) or [Windows](https://downloads.minkmap.com/Windows/MinkMapInstaller.exe). It runs silently in the background.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect your device">
    Plug your iPhone or iPad into your computer via USB. Select it from the device dropdown in the MinkMap web app.

  <Step title="Pick a location">
    Search for a city or click any point on the map. Your device's location updates immediately.
